Extremely rare! Beautiful stoneware pitchers decorated with sunflowers, peacock feathers and bees.
Printed maker's mark for Powell, Bishop & Stonier. The Rd. No. indicates a pattern registration date of 1884. This aptly named pattern features alternating sunflowers and peacock feathers on every side. Both the sunflower and peacock were iconic symbols of the Aesthetic Movement. The simple border consists of a basketweave pattern.
